Natural Disasters and Terrorism
Today we live in very precarious times; natural disasters are increasing all
over the world at an expanding rate and terrorism is a daily occurrence. God has
called his followers to be men and women who understand the times; it is His
people who need to be prepared and have the answers for those around them, just
as the sons of Issachar. We are to be watchman on the wall rebuilding and
building anew, prepared for battle and ready to fight if called to just like
Nehemiah and the Jews rebuilt the temple with tools in one hand and a sword in
the other.
This section will provide you with information about how to prepare for and
react to natural disasters and acts of terrorism. The information in this
section will help you to answer the questions: What will you do, and what will
your family do, if one these events were to strike your area? How do you ensure
that you and your family are safe and have provisions? This section will provide
you with the resources needed to ensure you and your family are prepared for
disasters, as well as ways to identify possible terrorist activity and protect
yourself against it.
There are some very practical things that everyone can do to prepare for most
disasters. We have provided some basic guidelines as to what kind of provisions
households should have on hand, as well as places where you can find these
resources. We also provide other informational resources that you can reference
for further information. We have preparation lists and suggestions from multiple
organizations including the Michigan State Police, FEMA and Homeland Security.
Our hope is that you will become informed so that you will be prepared for
anything as God continues to shake everything.
