Volunteers & Resources Needed for Texas Relief

State of Emergency has been declared: Texas has NEVER had lows below zero before – Homes, hotels & apartment buildings uninhabitable due to burst pipes - Water damage so severe roofs have collapsed - More accidents than officers and EMS can respond to - House fires - No power for hours at a time, some haven't had power in nearly 24 hours - Elderly without their oxygen - Hundreds of thousands are freezing - Calls for help from those that have found frozen or near lifeless bodies under blankets outside - Wind turbines are frozen - Power lines are down from Ice - Power stations have frozen pipes and aren’t able to operate - Cities without water supplies - Roads closed & no transportation available - No fleets of salt or plow trucks - No way to clear the roads which are solid ICE and impassable – Citizens can’t get to resources or to hospitals for emergencies

Pray for the citizens of Texas. The death toll of this disaster is yet to be determined. People need immediate assistance and resources.

We have been in contact with Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN – the largest Christian disaster relief group in Texas, with a network comprised of over 700 churches) and are sending volunteers down to assist.  If you’re interested in volunteering please respond to this email with your availability and we will put you on an email list for further info. Carpools can leave at any time and return at any time and ADRN will coordinate efforts on the ground.
