ABOUT FULTON SHEEN
Fulton Sheen is the founder and director of Isaiah 58:12 Disaster Relief & Preparedness. Fulton is a graduate of Western Michigan University. From 1989 to 2012, Fulton owned and operated Sheen Financial, an advisory and investment firm, with his wife Cheryl. Fulton was elected County Treasurer in Allegan County, Michigan in 1996 and again in 2000, where he managed the county’s fifty-five million dollar portfolio and achieved the highest yielding portfolio in the state.
From 2002 to 2008, Fulton served three terms in the legislature as Michigan’s 88th District State Representative. While in the legislature Fulton served on the following committees: Insurance and Financial Services, Government Operations, Regulatory, Children & Family Services and Tax Policy, which he chaired.
In 2006, Fulton founded Isaiah 58:12, a non-profit 501(c) (3) disaster relief and preparedness organization. Fulton is a FEMA certified Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) member and certified CERT trainer. Since 2009, Fulton and Isaiah 58:12 have trained over 1,500 new CERT volunteers to assist first responders in search and rescue, triage & first-aid, terrorist mitigation and other aspects of disaster relief.
Currently, Fulton heads a customer service company which assists companies with client applications, reports and statements. Fulton serves on a number of boards including, the Michigan National Federation of Independent Business Leadership Council, Michigan Citizen Corps and Transformation Michigan. Fulton also speaks nationally and internationally on economic and financial issues, including the sovereign debt crisis, world markets, taxation, and alternative financial structures.
